Jason decided to transition to industry to work on developing future semiconductor process technology nodes at Intel Foundry Logic Technology Development group. He started as a device engineer working on Intel 4/3 process technology focusing on transistor performance and variation. After Intel 3 went HVM, he moved to Intel 10A. He is now working on Intel 14A.

Jason was awarded the Best Poster Award at the 1st annual retreat in Theme 3: Devices and Circuits of PRISM Center, a JUMP 2.0 research center funded by SRC (Semiconductor Research Corporation) and DARPA, for his work on purely voltage-controlled magnetic memory research.

Jason officially submitted his dissertation and graduated from UC Berkeley with a PhD in EECS with Prof. Sayeef Salahuddin.

Jason was awarded the IEEE Neil Smith Award for the Best Poster at TMRC 2023 in University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Jason was awarded the UC Berkeley Outstanding Graduate Student Peer Mentor Award by the Graduate Assembly at UC Berkeley. This award honors Berkeley graduate and professional students who have shown an outstanding commitment to mentoring, advising, and generally supporting either undergraduate students or their fellow graduate students.

My talk titled “Enhanced Spin-orbit Torque in amorphous light element silicide” was awarded the Best Student Presentation Award at the 2022 67th MMM Conference. MMM (Magnetism and Magnetic Materials) conference is the premier international conference for research in magnetism and spintronics.
